Baloiços panorâmicos

Just below the top of the mountain in Alvaiázere you will find the local scenic swing. This consists of two separate swings in one wooden construction. From the swing you have a great view over the valley and the town below. The car park is small and there is not much else you can do on the mountain itself, but the view makes the visit more than worthwhile.

The Serra de Lousa is a beautiful mountain area in central Portugal. Trevim is the highest point in the area with an altitude of 1,200 meters and on this mountain you will also find the Swing of Trevim. The swing itself is the tallest we have seen in Portugal. Definatly worth the visit as it is not often you can say you have swung at 1,200 metres above sea level.

In the mountains of Serra de Sico, nearby an old chapel you can find the Baloiço Degracias - Soure. Among the baloiços we visited, this one stands out because of building in the surroundings. Besiides the chapel. there is also a monument indicating the seasons and an extra playground with 2 swings and a slide for the children.

The Baloiço da Pelariga is the Swing closest to our Guesthouse, although you cannot fully reach it by car. The last stretch is a hike of about 30 minutes up towards the top of the hill. Your car, just before entering a small village, is best parked along the roadside. From there, make the hike up on foot. The hike is fun and adventurous. Once at the top, you will see the swing under one of the windmills. This consists of one traditional duo swing and 1 fun tandem swing.
