Tomar was originally created inside The Convent of Christ, a UNESCO World Heritage site and is famous for its connection with the Knights Templar. It hosts many Medival Monuments like Churches, Castles and an old Aquaduct and has Medival Festivities in the Summer. It is also close to the Castelo do Bode lake and the Zêzere river for those looking to combine culture with swimming.
